Sacramento Raid on Legal Marijuana Grower

Sacramento, CA Aug 24, 2005 -- Hello my name is Patricia Rader and I am a local massage therapist.

I have two disabled Friends/ Clients Mary Lynn and Richard.

Richard has a recommendation and as well holds a caregiver for two other disabled adults.

Last Friday, Aug. 19, 2005 at approximately 5 PM, SWAT and Sacramento County Sheriffs bust into their small house, threw Mary Lynn and her granddaughter who was visiting (helping her with house work) on the ground and put them into handcuffs. Mary Lynn has RSD in her right arm. She pleaded with the officer telling him she has an injury, then he proceeded to squeeze her arm tighter.

When she screamed because of the pain Richard came toward the house to see and saw the officers, went to the backyard, where the other two prescription holders where grooming the crop, and told them to lay down now. When the officers where in the process of searching the people they looked at Tod's (a prescription. holder) daughter and proceeded to say "Have you searched it yet?" then a MALE officer approached her stuck his hand down her shirt and up her crotch.

Richard was taken to jail,and they refused to give him medication pills until the next day (hours before we bailed him out).His entire years crop and two others were taken.

He is now not only with out medication but out a lot of money he had already put into it. he had planed to move to New Mexico at the end of this year but not that he has endured such a loss he can't.

I'm not asking for a donation or anything I would like any help that we can get to get the charges dropped and sue the state for their loss and the pain it has caused them. They basically came in and "raped" them of all their rights and the state needs to know and something needs to be done.
