I am a medical marijuana user with a card issued by the SF Department of Public Health. I suffer from a persistent gastric condition witch causes extreme nausea and medical marijuana allows me to lead a normal life.

But on November 22, 2001, Thanksgiving Day, I was stopped by two SFPD who arrested me for posession of marijuana, not withstanding the fact that I showed them my medical marijuana card. When I told them that they were in violation of California law., they told me I should go to Terrence Hallinan’s house if I wanted to smoke marijuana.

I was treated quite harshly by these two rogue cops and I was held in custody for almost eight hours before I was released. My medical marijuana of more than 2 grams was confiscated as well as my pipe.
